It’s the late fall of 2025 and I have just read the news.So I turned to the only reliable source of comfort in this cruel dark world – Tim Curry. I found this behind the scenes photo from the filming of IT (1990) and felt it so deep in my soul. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a feeling I was having at that reflected so clearly in an image. Maybe it’s the millennial impulse in me to say “Same” anytime something #Relateable happens.
This was not the first time I painted Tim Curry, and it certainly wont be the last.
Collection Details:
Little Oil Paintings is an ongoing collection of handmade original art works. Each 8x10 canvas board set in a very simple white mat and black frame. My intention with this collection is to allow myself to explore and experiment artistically while still staying true to a very simple presentation. Each piece is a visual riddle. Sometimes it was a challenge in light, or color, or emotion that made me ask myself “Can I pull this off?” Every painting in this collection represents a victorious “Yes”.
